Not Now (com.nuc7.notnow) is a privacy-first notification management application designed to reduce interruptions by temporarily placing non-essential notifications into a private, scheduled queue for later review. To provide this core functionality, Not Now requests Notification Access, which allows the app to read notification details such as the originating app, app icon, notification title, message content, timestamp, and associated open action. This access is used exclusively to determine whether a notification should remain visible or be placed in the user’s queue. Notification Access is granted manually through Android system settings, remains under the user’s control, and may be revoked at any time. Not Now also requests notification permission to display one scheduled digest reminder and boot-completion access solely to restore the selected reminder schedule after a device restart.
All notification content, queued items, VIP app selections, reminder preferences, and locally cached app icons are processed and stored only within the application’s private on-device storage. Not Now has no internet permission and does not transmit information to the developer or any external server. The app does not collect, sell, rent, share, profile, monetize, or use personal or sensitive information for advertising, analytics, marketing, credit scoring, artificial intelligence training, or any unrelated purpose. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, social-media, or cloud-storage SDKs and does not require an account. Information about launchable applications installed on the device is accessed only to present the VIP app selector and is never transmitted or used to identify the user.
Queued notifications remain on the device until they are opened, dismissed, processed, snoozed, or deleted by the user. Processed notifications are removed during routine local cleanup. Users may permanently erase all saved notifications and cached app information at any time through the Clear option in the app’s settings. Uninstalling Not Now removes its locally stored database, preferences, and cached information. Notification data is protected by Android’s application sandbox and is excluded from cloud backup. Not Now does not intentionally access contacts, call logs, SMS databases, photos, files, location, microphone, camera, advertising identifiers, financial information, or health information. If the app’s data-handling practices change, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before the new practices are introduced.
By using Not Now, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
